Kelly's 2012 Mexico Tequila Tour

March 11 - Guadalajara

Last night after leaving Fortaleza was the end of the Blue Agave Tour. Our bus deposited us at a hotel in Guadalajara, but not the Hilton. It was a very nice hotel, and my view was quite nice as you see. It was a much more expensive hotel, which posed a bit of a challenge.

You see, my original plan was to head to Puerto Vallarta in the morning, which meant I wouldn't need another night in Guadalajara. But plans had changed. Since I never got an answer as to whether the people on the tour would help me get my bottles back to the 'States, it was clear the answer was no, they wouldn't. So I had to try my luck at carrying them onto the plane, as one can't ship alcohol across the border. This meant I had to go to Tlaquepaque again to pick up the tequila I had left at El Buho, but Emilio had plans on Sunday and I didn't feel right about asking him to open the store just for me. What this meant was that I had one more day in Guadalajara and one less day in Puerto Vallarta.

I quickly made a reservation at the Hilton online, got checked out of this hotel, got a cab to the Hilton, and relaxed the rest of the day.
